Very affordable fun to shoot family recurve bow. November 12, 2007 BBGun (Texomaland,Texas - USA) 23 out of 25 found this review helpful
I bought this for me and my wife to play around with and to create a more challenging shooting situation then that of shooting a compound bow with the fancy sighting system. It shoots well and seems to be constructed well enough for reliability and long term use with proper care of course. Very affordable fun to shoot family recurve bow. Works well for left handed or right handed use. (Recommended for a shooter on a budget)
Nice Bow June 13, 2009 C. Miller 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
I ordered this bow because of the decent reviews it got, but also because i have wanted to start archery. This is a very nice beginners bow and i was surprised by the price i thought i would be paying much more.
i got the Feather Fletched Easton XX75 Blues Arrows 6-pack
they are nice arrows and they work well with this bow
great bow November 11, 2008 T. duffy (buster) 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
I ordered this bow just to use for target practice. I have a long bow 60# but the string hits the underside of your wrist everytime you shoot it, so you have to wear proper wrist protecter while shooting. This bow you can shoot without any wrist protection. Fun to shoot, simple, durable/great bow for the price. Will probably buy another for my son.

I bought this bow for the nostalgia factor. The first bow I ever shot was of similar design and construction. I'll grant you that most people don't look back at freshman gym class affectionately, but i did have fun with archery. I was concerned when I bought this that it wouldn't stand up to adult use or that it might be poorly made, given its price. I was relieved when I opened the box and strung the bow, realizing that it was indeed of good quality. My old aluminum arrows were quite a disappointment though. They were obviously meant only for compound bows, and they weren't really all that great in my compound. I have since ordered the cedar arrows that amazon recommends with this bow. Wooden arrows are, after all, what we used with our bows back in gym class. Despite my using the wrong arrows for the bow i still have to give it 5 stars, especially for the price, besides it wasn't the bows fault i used the wrong arrows and the bow still did fairly well even with those awful arrows.
Good, strong bow February 6, 2009 Adrian Lee (Pacific Northwest, USA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
For the price of $30-$40, this is an amazing buy. It may not be elaborately carved like the Bow of Legolas, or anything, but that really won't matter much when you get it. It took me awhile to decipher the instructions on how to string it, but once I found it, it's quite easy.
One sad thing is it doesn't come with its own arrows. You have to buy them separately, but I'm not quite sure where. I'm proud to say I managed to make my own by carving it out of a stick and gluing duck feathers on, but that's not something everyone would probably want to do.
I'd recommend this for anyone who wants to have a really cool model bow, whether its just for playing, or if you actually getting introduced to real archery.
